Applying for status, checking a case, receiving official notices: all of it runs through a USCIS online account. Here's what it is, how to create one, and what you can do with it.

USCIS Account is the official USCIS online account, used for immigration processes of all kinds.
With it you can:
File applications online: I-90, N-400, I-130, and others.
Check your case status.
Receive notices, including Requests for Evidence (RFE) and interview notices.
Upload additional documents.
Pay filing fees online.

Click "Create an Account".
Enter your email and set a password.
A verification email is sent to that address.
3️⃣ Verify your identity
Enter the code from the email back on the site.
Turn on two-factor authentication (worth doing for an account this sensitive).
4️⃣ Start using it
Once logged in you can choose a form to file and track your cases.
